Refund Policy
SeeUThere has two distinct refund systems: automatic refunds for event deletions and app store refunds for credit purchases. Understanding these policies helps you make informed decisions and manage your credits effectively.
Event Deletion: 30-minute automatic refund window
Credit Purchases: Follow Apple App Store / Google Play policies
Event Deletion Refunds
When you delete an event within 30 minutes of creation, you automatically receive a full credit refund. This policy helps users who make mistakes or change their plans quickly.
Automatic Refund System
30-Minute Window
Delete any event within 30 minutes of creation to receive an automatic, instant refund of all credits used.
Instant Processing
Refunds are processed immediately when you delete an eligible event. No waiting or approval required.
Full Refund
You receive 100% of the credits back - no partial refunds or processing fees.
Refund Amounts
- Time Limit: Refunds are only available within 30 minutes of event creation
- Automatic Only: After 30 minutes, no refunds are available for event deletions
- Event Status: Refunds apply regardless of how many people have joined or voted
How Event Deletion Refunds Work
Create Event
Create any type of event (regular or planning) and credits are immediately deducted from your balance.
Delete Within 30 Minutes
If you need to delete the event, do so within 30 minutes of creation for automatic refund eligibility.
Instant Refund
Credits are immediately added back to your balance when you confirm the deletion.
Transaction Record
The refund appears in your credit history as "Event Deletion Refund" for your records.
Credit Purchase Refunds
Credit purchases are handled through Apple App Store and Google Play Store. Refunds for credit purchases follow the policies and procedures of these platforms, not SeeUThere's internal policies.
Apple App Store Refunds
Apple typically allows refunds within 14 days of purchase if you haven't used the credits yet. Refunds are handled entirely by Apple, not SeeUThere.

What's Eligible vs. Not Eligible
✅ Eligible for Refunds
Any event deleted within 30 minutes of creation receives automatic credit refund
Credit purchases through app stores following their refund policies
Both regular events and planning events are eligible for deletion refunds
❌ Not Eligible for Refunds
Once the 30-minute window passes, no refunds are available for event deletions
Friend group creation credits cannot be refunded once the group is created
Credits spent on features within the app cannot be refunded through SeeUThere (only through app stores)
What Happens When Refunds Are Processed
Event Deletion Refunds
When you delete an event within the 30-minute window:
- Immediate Credit Addition: Credits are instantly added back to your balance
- Transaction Logging: The refund is recorded in your credit history with timestamp
- Event Removal: The event is permanently deleted from the system
- Notification Cleanup: All related notifications are cancelled
- User Updates: Invited users are notified of the event cancellation
App Store Refunds
When Apple or Google processes a credit purchase refund:
- Credit Deduction: The purchased credits are removed from your SeeUThere balance
- Negative Balance Allowed: Your balance can go negative if you've already used some credits
- Purchase Record Updated: Your purchase history is marked as "REFUNDED"
- Automatic Processing: SeeUThere receives notification from the app store and processes automatically
- No Manual Intervention: The process is fully automated and requires no action from you
If you receive an app store refund but have already used some of those credits, your balance may become negative. You'll need to purchase more credits to continue using the app.
