You set: Fixed date, start time, and end time
Participants vote on: Location options
Planning Type: Date-Only Planning
Have a location in mind but want participants to vote on the dates. You set a fixed location, participants choose when to meet.
You set: Fixed location (or online link)
Participants vote on: Date and time options
When to Use Planning Events
- Uncertain schedules: When group members have varying availability
- Location flexibility: When multiple venues could work
- Democratic decisions: When you want the group to decide together
- Large groups: When coordinating with many people at once
Planning events work best when you're flexible and want group input. If you already know the exact date, time, and location, a regular event is faster and costs less.
