Planning Types

SeeUThere offers three types of planning events, each designed for different coordination scenarios:

1 Vote for Location and Date

Planning Type: Date and Location Planning

Perfect for coordinating group preferences when you're flexible on both timing and location. Participants first vote on location options, then vote on date options.

📍 How it works

Phase 1: Everyone votes on location options
Phase 2: Everyone votes on date options

2 Vote for Location Only

Planning Type: Location-Only Planning

Have a date in mind but want participants to vote on the location. You set a fixed date and time, participants choose where to meet.

📅 How it works

You set: Fixed date, start time, and end time
Participants vote on: Location options

3 Vote for Date Only

Planning Type: Date-Only Planning

Have a location in mind but want participants to vote on the dates. You set a fixed location, participants choose when to meet.

🗓️ How it works

You set: Fixed location (or online link)
Participants vote on: Date and time options

When to Use Planning Events

  • Uncertain schedules: When group members have varying availability
  • Location flexibility: When multiple venues could work
  • Democratic decisions: When you want the group to decide together
  • Large groups: When coordinating with many people at once
✅ Pro Tip

Planning events work best when you're flexible and want group input. If you already know the exact date, time, and location, a regular event is faster and costs less.
