Creating Planning Events
Creating a planning event involves a 6-step process that guides you through selecting your planning type, setting up options, and configuring voting.
You need at least 15 credits to create a planning event. The app checks your balance before you start and deducts credits only after successful creation.
Step-by-Step Creation Process
Select "Planning Event" from the main event creation screen. If you don't have enough credits, you'll see a dialog with your current balance and an option to buy more credits.
Choose which type of planning event you want:
- Date and Location: Participants vote on both dates and locations
- Location Only: You set the date, participants vote on locations
- Date Only: You set the location, participants vote on dates

For Date Only Planning:
Choose who to invite to your planning event:
- Individual Friends: Select from your friend list
- Friend Groups: Invite entire groups at once
- Search: Use the search bar to find specific friends or groups
• You can create a planning event with no participants
• Automatic deduplication if someone is in multiple selected groups
• Optional minimum participant requirement
• You are automatically excluded from the participant count
Set up your dates and voting deadline:
For Location Only Planning:
For Date Voting (Date Only & Date+Location):
Date Selection Options:
- Specific Dates: Select 2-10 individual dates from calendar
- Date Ranges: Select 2-5 date ranges (e.g., "March 1-5", "March 10-15")
• Enable "Show Availability" to see when participants are unavailable
• Timezone warnings appear if participants are in different zones
• Past dates are automatically blocked from selection
Final review before creating your planning event:
- Review all event details, location options, and date options
- See complete participant list with avatars
- Check timezone warnings for international participants
- Edit any section by tapping the edit buttons
When you tap "Create Planning Event", you'll see a confirmation dialog showing:
• "You will be charged 15 credits"
• Number of participants being invited
Credits are deducted only after successful creation.
After Creation
Once created successfully:
- All participants receive invitation notifications
- Voting begins immediately based on your planning type
- You'll see the planning event details screen with voting progress
- 15 credits are deducted from your account
• Credit check happens at the start, deduction after successful creation
• Even if credit deduction fails, your event is still created
• All dates must be today or in the future
• You can edit event details, dates, and locations, but not during finalization
